Street Prize
Life's Great In Southgate
A winner in Southgate is kick-starting June with an extra £60,000 in the bank, thanks to their lucky postcode.
Anthony scooped the cash when N14 4QJ was drawn as the winner of Saturday's Street Prize, and he doubled his prize money thanks to playing with two tickets.
The local roofer couldn't believe his eyes when Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier appeared outside his door. After revealing his cheque, Anthony said, "This is unbelievable. I never expected anything like this in a million years – I'm just completely over the moon!
"My wife Kathie and I are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and her 60th birthday this year, so this win has come at a really great time in life and will really change everything for us."
After celebrating his windfall with a few beers, Anthony plans to carry out home improvements and treat the whole family. "Our kids and grandkids will definitely be getting spoilt and I've also got a few surprises up my sleeve for Kathie too!"
Jeff said, "I've loved meeting Anthony and his wife Kathie - I'm totally thrilled for them both. You never know whose door I could be knocking on next, so make sure you're signed up to play!"
With 32% of the ticket price going to charity, players of People's Postcode Lottery have now raised £301 Million for over 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally. This Saturday's Street Prize is promoted by charity Plan International UK.
One local cause that has received funding from players is Misgav. The group was awarded £9,940 last year to run skills development workshops for women with learning disabilities.

Our Southgate winner wasn't the only one in luck this weekend, as two players elsewhere scooped Sunday's Street Prize.
