£1 Million Prize
Wednesbury Millionaire Street

A tattoo artist is aiming to make his parlour the 'best in the Midlands' after winning £100,000 in our latest Millionaire Street. Jake Brant banked a share of a £1 Million prize after he made the shrewd decision to sign up again just six weeks ago after moving house. Now the talented tattooist wants to splash out by refurbishing his studio, buying his dream car and jetting off to Florida.
Jake from Wednesbury in West Midlands said: "It's life-changing man. It's an obscene amount of money innit? You don't ever win that amount. It's crazy and it's blown my head. I'm going to renovate the shop for the guys so we can all enjoy the winnings. We want it to be best in the Midlands - we already are by work, but the shop just needs to get there and it can due to the winnings."
Jake is among ten neighbours sharing the Millionaire Street prize after postcode WS10 7EL in Wednesbury was announced as the winner. Each ticket was worth £100,000.
Jake was surprised by a Postcode Lottery crew at his Seven Wonders Tattoo Parlour in Walsall and his colleagues and family cheered and let off confetti cannons as his cheque was revealed. The celebrations were like a Formula 1 trophy presentation after Jake's pal Tommy Franham showered him in champagne outside their parlour.
Jake purchased the tattoo studio in 2023 and brought along six of his friends and fellow artists to work in the shop. After achieving his ultimate ambition of purchasing his own parlour, he now wants to make it even better.
Jake said: "It's always been a lifelong goal, all my best mates tattoo, so opening the shop was like a place for me and for them, and it's just gone from there. I started from nothing. This has always been the end goal, and this is nuts. I love working, we have a right laugh here and so if I can make it even better that's a bonus. It's going to go towards a lot, a lot for the studio, kit it out and give everyone who works here the best working environment and put it to good use."
Jake's mum Helen shed a few tears after catching a glimpse of his winning sum. She said: "I'm so emotional for him, it's just so deserved it really is. He saved and he saved, because his dream was to have a shop, and he put all his savings on getting this place. He's had a couple of knockbacks in his life, but he's pulled through every time. He's worked so hard to get this shop, so this is just incredible."
Jake admitted that he’d cancelled his Postcode Lottery ticket after playing for a few years, but he reinstated it in February using the postcode for his rented house in Wednesbury.
He said: "I played it for a couple of years, but I moved house recently, and I only re-signed up to it in February just gone. I signed up again on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I'm never cancelling my ticket again!"
Jake also has his eyes set on high-end new wheels but said he might help his girlfriend first. He said: "I'd love a brand-new Land Rover Defender, dream car, so maybe we get that. My girlfriend needs a new car because hers has just broke, so I'll probably get her a new car and then just see what happens with the rest."
Jake, who has lost count of how many tattoos he has, is poised to add another tattoo to his body to commemorate his lottery win. He said: "I'm running out of room, but I'll definitely get something in memory of this."
Jake and girlfriend Zoe Langley are also jetting off to the USA for a fabulous holiday. He said: "Me and Zoe are going to Florida, we're gonna do Orlando, do all the theme parks, do it all."
Zoe also said they might adopt another four-legged friend. She said: "I'd love to get another dog, a friend for Luna, our long-haired sausage dog rescue."
Another Wednesbury winner was Nicola Roberts, who also scooped £100,000.
Nicola, who works as a community nurse, said: "It doesn't seem real. It's a fantastic feeling, all you seem to have is a bit of doom and gloom in life and just to have that and to help us and our family out is amazing. It's a morning that we’ll never forget."
Nicola received the cheque alongside husband Eddie Roberts, who was doubly pleased as it was his idea for Nicola to sign up. He also admitted that they nearly missed out on the windfall. Eddie said: "I said to Nicky that we should start playing a while back. We were going to cancel it. I'm very glad we didn't now."
Eddie, who works as a delivery driver for Warburtons, is now thinking about going for his Class 1 HGV driving license. He said: "I could go for my Class 1 now, it's things like that which this will really help with."
Nicola and Eddie's seven-year-old daughter Ella watched on as a Postcode Lottery camera crew filed into their garden. Ella asked her mum and dad for a dog, but they've yet to agree to her puppy pleas. Eddie said: "Ella's got a puppy on her list but we're not sure about that yet."
The Roberts said they'll now pay off a holiday to Zante in Greece to toast their win.
Nicola's neighbours Simon and Angela Angell, who live directly across the road, also celebrated winning £100,000. Simon, who is the ticket holder, now wants to buy a Harley-Davidson motorbike much to his wife's dismay.
Simon, who works as at a local steelworks, said: "At the minute, I've got a little Honda CMX500 Rebel but I might upgrade to a Harley." Angela teased: "He promised he was never going to have another bike but of course, he's going to want one now."
Social care worker Angela explained how she'll be able to go on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to the other side of the world. She said: "I've got a big birthday in a few years, and I really wanted to go on a cruise round Antarctica but it's quite expensive. I've been trying to save but now it's going to happen. It's going to be the holiday of a lifetime. We don’t need to go bog standard now, we can go deluxe or whatever we wish."
The couple told how they'll also treat their grown-up children Ryan and Megan. Angela said: "It's definitely life-changing. It's going to make a big difference to us and our kids, it'll make their lives easier."
Also among our lucky winners were supermarket worker Karen Steen and NHS phlebotomist Jennifer Carter.
The neighbours' win also means a number of charities in and around Wednesbury will receive funding.
One organisation – Friar Park Millenium Centre – has received £40,000 from Postcode Community Trust, supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Leanne Jones, project manager at the Friar Park Millennium Centre, said: "Here, we provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for the local residents and surrounding areas. There are a range of activities and support available each day of the week to cater for all. The local people are the heart of the community centre and receiving this funding will help us continue to support and provide for our local and neighbouring communities."
Leanne added: "We are so grateful, and it will really help and support us with our upcoming plans. It has really widened our opportunities for the community and will enable us to fulfil the needs for these individuals."
