Home Run For Rotherham
HUNDREDS of people in Rotherham are set to have a Christmas to remember after we revealed S65 3 as the winning postcode sector of our £17.5 million Postcode Millions prize.
This is the largest single-ever prize to be won in Postcode Lottery history.
Winning locals will find out exactly how much they've won during a special event at Magna Science Adventure Centre on Saturday 14 December. They can expect to take home cheques for at least £5,000. Winners will receive invitations from Thursday 12 December.
The full winning postcode will also be revealed at the event. Anyone playing with this postcode will take home the largest cash prizes.
People's Postcode Lottery ambassadors Matt Johnson, Judie McCourt and Danyl Johnson will be at the event to celebrate with winners and reveal the winning cheques.
Matt said: "I can't wait to celebrate the biggest-ever Postcode Lottery prize with winners in Rotherham! What an occasion it will be for hundreds of neighbours. I'm sure the winners are absolutely buzzing with anticipation, as are we. Roll on Saturday!"
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.4 billion for thousands of charities and local good causes, including organisations close to the Rotherham winners.
Headway Rotherham received £25,000 in funding this year and is based in Rawmarsh. The UK-wide charity works to improve the lives of people after brain injury. It offers a variety of services and support, including a freephone helpline, an emergency assist, and Headway Acute Trauma Support (HATS) nurses to support families with loved ones at a critical stage of care.
Check back on Saturday for more on this month's winners!
