Helen Bamber Foundation

The Helen Bamber Foundation supports refugees and asylum seekers who've experienced extreme human cruelty, such as torture and human trafficking

The Helen Bamber Foundation provides expert care and support for refugees and asylum seekers who have suffered extreme physical, sexual and psychological violence, abuse, and exploitation.

Most have been repeatedly and systematically victimised, sometimes for years. As a result of their experiences, clients have multiple and complex needs including:

  • Psychological health conditions, severe physical injuries and medical conditions
  • Extreme vulnerability to further exploitation and risk of further persecution
  • Homelessness, destitution and intense loneliness

After experiencing acts of extreme human cruelty, refugees and asylum seekers are marginalised and vulnerable when coming to the UK. The Helen Bamber Foundation provides an expert combination of health, legal and welfare support to address the complex needs of survivors. This helps them recover and lead successful lives in the UK.

Player funding allows the charity to provide trauma-focused therapy, legal protection, medical care and welfare services to more than 840 refugees and asylum seekers every year.

You can help the Helen Bamber Foundation rebuild the lives of refugees and asylum seekers who have experienced human cruelty. For more information, visits their website www.helenbamber.org.
