Lucky In Leeds

Yesterday our £30,000 Street Prize brought smiles and celebrations to neighbours in Aberford. Today, just a short distance away, three happy Leeds residents playing with the LS7 2JT postcode are also celebrating. 

Barry was one of our amazing £30,000 cheque winners in Meanwood Valley Close. He said, "It's fantastic and might bring my retirement that little bit nearer. We're keen caravaners so we'll upgrade our caravan. I don't know how we're going to spend it but we definitely will!"

Street Prize Presenter Danyl also gave another player quite a shock when he arrived at her door with a whopping £30,000 cheque. Winner Gina has a trip to the sun in mind. Gina said, "I've won the Postcode Lottery and I've never done anything like this in my life. I might go on holiday: Magaluf, Majorca."

Charities Across Britain

With 32% of the ticket price going to deserving projects, players of People's Postcode Lottery have now raised £450 Million for thousands of charities and good causes across Great Britain as well as internationally.

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted by Woodland Trust, which has received over £10 Million thanks to players. This money has helped the charity to create, protect and restore native woodland across the UK.

A local cause supported by players is Your Back Yard CIC. This year it was awarded £2,000 to help community groups come together.
