So Excited

Cleaner Margaret couldn't believe her luck when she was presented with the prize. She said, "I'm so excited. You just don't think something like this will happen to you.

"I'm not sure what I'll spend it on - maybe a nice holiday."

Margaret's partner Eric, a local window-cleaner, was with her when she was presented with her cheque. He exclaimed, "I know what she'll spend it on - clothes!"

Local Charities Benefit

Shop assistant Gina also won a £30,000 prize. She said, "I can't believe it! I'm still in shock. My husband William thought it was a scam at first when I told him we were getting a visit, and I think it's still sinking in for both of us.

"It's lovely that our neighbours have won with us, too, and that local charities have benefited from us playing. It's great for the community."

The remaining winners couldn't be there to collect their prizes, so the money will be paid directly into their bank accounts. 

Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson was in Kelty delivering the winners' cheques. He said, "A massive congratulations to our Kelty winners! I hope they have a fantastic time treating themselves with their winnings.

"This is the start of a very busy month for us at Postcode Lottery, and I hope I'm back in the area with some more big cheques soon!"

A minimum of 32% from the ticket price goes directly to charities and good causes. Players of People's Postcode Lottery have helped raise more than £450 Million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally. 

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted by charity Unicef UK. Our players have raised more than £5 Million for this wonderful cause. That funding helps the organisation make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children around the world. There are lots of local charities close to today's winners that players have helped to support too. These include the 4th Fife Cardenden Scout Group. In 2018, the group was awarded £20,000 to purchase a new minibus.
