Delighted In Darlington

It's a delightful day for four lucky players in Foxglove Close in Darlington who have each picked up incredible £30,000 cheques. The winners, who play with postcode DL1 3FB, scooped the cash in today's Saturday Street Prize.

Joked About Winning

One of our lucky winners was Daniel, who recently played a joke on his wife, Laura, by telling her that they'd won our Street Prize. Daniel said, "I pranked Laura a few weeks ago and told her we had won £30,000 - she fell out with me and didn't speak to me all day. When I rang her this time around and said we'd actually won she didn't believe me!"

Daniel and Laura got married two years ago and have been saving up to buy a new house. Laura said, "We've been saving for a deposit for our forever home so this win has made our lives - it would have taken us years to save this amount. I feel like I'm having an out of body experience!" Daniel added, "I'd love to use the money to go back to Canada. We spent our honeymoon there and as soon as we came home we wanted to go back again."

Australia Bound

Another £30,000 winner, Helen, had just arrived home from work when she received a knock at the door from our Street Prize team. Helen said, "I'd only been home five minutes and then got a knock on the door, and there was £30,000 waiting outside for me!"

When asked what she'd spend the money on, Helen said, "Holidays, clothes and more holidays. I'd love to go to Australia again and now it's paid for. I love my holidays!"

A Darlington local herself, Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt met our lucky winners. She said, "I was delighted to visit some winners in my hometown this weekend. A huge congratulations to them all - it sounds like they're going to have a great time spending their prize money."
