Shanklin Scoops Dream Holidays

Three lucky Isle of Wight players from Shanklin could be island hopping in exotic locations around the world after their postcode PO37 6HZ picked up the Dream Holiday prize this month.

Winners will pick up £4,000 of holiday vouchers and £1,000 of spending money for each ticket they play with.

As a charity lottery, People's Postcode Lottery players have so far raised over £135 Million for good causes across Great Britain and around the globe.

An Isle of Wight charity which has benefitted from funds raised by players is Island 2000 Trust, which received £20,000 earlier this year for its Swanmore Meadows Restoration project. Work recently started on the restoration, with local volunteers creating all-weather paths. Over coming months, the project will clear encroaching scrub, improve the entrance facilities and will install interpretation panels.

Also this weekend, lucky players in Gateshead scooped the August Postcode Millions, a Saturday Street Prize landed in Ashington while another one landed in Appleton, and neighbours in Woking scooped £5,000 and a BMW.
