Street Prize
Fortune For Alfreton
It's a fantastic weekend for two Alfreton residents as they've collected a stunning £30,000 each!
The windfall arrived after their postcode, DE55 7EY, was announced as the winner of our Saturday Street Prize.
Alison was one of our lucky winners, and was joined by husband Ian. They were all smiles when they were presented with their superb cheque.
When asked what she'd spend the cash on, Alison said, "I don't want to let my imagination run away with me, but I might treat myself to a new car!"
A Win-Win Situation
She added, "I like that money goes to charities as well as having the chance to win - it's a win-win situation really!"
Our other winner wasn't available to receive their cheque in person, but their prize money will be paid directly into their bank account.
Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier was in Alfreton to hand over Alison's cheque. He said, "A big congratulations to Alison and our other Alfreton winner. It might have been raining but we didn't let that dampen our moods - I'm sure the £30,000 cheque helped! I hope Alison finds herself a new car and enjoys the win."
This prize is part of a promoted by Youth Music, a national charity which runs music-making projects for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances.
Local projects have also benefited from player support. Last year, Direct Help & Advice received £19,675 to provide housing advice to homeless people using local church night shelters.
Cheques Every Day
With superb Prizes announced every day, it's a great time to sign up to play People's Postcode Lottery. Find out more about How It Works. Like our Alfreton winners, there could be an exciting cheque heading your way!
There were big winners elsewhere this weekend. An amazing 441 players celebrated sharing £3 Million in November's Postcode Millions Prize. In another postcode, seven winners collected £30,000 each in Sunday's Street Prize.
