Big Win For Wirral

HUNDREDS of people in Wirral, Merseyside are celebrating this weekend after winning People's Postcode Lottery.

A total of 248 neighbours in the CH46 7 postcode sector shared September's bumper £3.2 Million Postcode Millions prize.

Eight residents of Berrylands Road playing with the full winning postcode, CH46 7TU, landed the biggest cash prizes of £160,000 per ticket.

And TWO of the neighbours doubled their winnings to £320,000, thanks to playing with two tickets.

The remaining 240 players in the area received cheques ranging from £5,904 to £29,520, depending on how many tickets they play with.

People's Postcode Lottery presenter Judie McCourt said: "It's been a glorious morning in Wirral surprising neighbours with life-changing sums. I'm sure it's a day that will live long in the memory.

"Congratulations to all the winners. I'm sure they'll have plenty of fun spending the money."

Local Charities Benefit

Local good causes close to the winners in Wirral have benefited from money raised by Postcode Lottery players.

Ahead Of The Game Foundation received £25,000 in funding last year. The vital funding provided training and equipment for the charity's staff to run free weekly physical therapy sessions for people living with cancer in Merseyside.
