Big Thrill For Blackpill

Four people in Blackpill, Swansea are celebrating after winning £30,000 each, all thanks to their postcode.

The neighbours all enjoyed a cash windfall when SA3 5AW was announced as the winner in our Sunday Street Prize.

Heart-Pounding Moment

Among the winners was Angharad. She said, "I've won £10 a few times but now I've won the big one!

"I'm absolutely ecstatic. My heart is pounding but I feel very excited."

Angharad, who works as an accountant, has clear plans for her prize money. She said, "I'm saving to buy my first house and I think this will help me get there sooner.

"I wasn't in a position to look properly before so I can actually start looking with intent now.

"It's nice to see so many people nearby win too."

Going Global And The Local

Neighbour Lisa also picked up a whopping cheque today. She said, "It's fantastic, such an unexpected gift."

Lisa has ideas for her winnings too. She said, "Most of it's going to go towards travelling. I've planned to take 12 months off work so this is a big contribution to help towards that.

"I'm planning on visiting the Indian Ocean, South Africa, Australia. It'll be nice to take some time out after a few challenging years because of the pandemic."

Asked if she had any plans to celebrate, Lisa laughed "I think the pub down the road is going to see a few of these pounds"

Postcode Lottery Presenter Matt Johnson shared his congratulations. Matt said, "It was a pleasure to deliver some good news to Angharad and Lisa in Swansea. I hope the other lucky winners are just as pleased as they are and enjoy spending their prize."
