Street Prize
Hip Hip Hooray For Hevingham
It's a great weekend for six Hevingham residents as they've each won an amazing £30,000 cheque! The windfall arrived after their postcode, NR10 5NE, was announced as the winner of today's Street Prize.
Unbelievable Jeff!
Joe was stunned when he heard a knock at the door and received his cheque from Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier. Using football pundit Chris Kamara's famous catchphrase, Joe exclaimed, "Unbelievable Jeff! I feel very happy but a bit numb, this definitely might take a few days to settle in."
Joe and his partner Christine are all set to use their winnings for a dream holiday, but the destination is still up for debate. Joe said, "I've always wanted to go over to the Far East, like Tokyo and China. Chris has always wanted to do an African safari, so she'll probably get her way.
"There's probably going to be some little arguments with the other half on how we spend it, but she usually gets her way in the end.
"It's a bit surreal but I'm ecstatic, I can't wait."
Along with a holiday, the couple intend to put their prize money towards some garden renovations. Joe said, "We moved here just under two years ago and we've been doing stuff to the house and making it our own. I know Chris wants to landscape the garden. So, we'll do the lawn, patio and pagoda. It'll go a long way."
Joe was delighted when he heard that five of his neighbours had also won. He said, "It's great! It's a lovely little village and a close-knit community, and hopefully it'll be a good boost for Hevingham."
Joe was quick to add that a celebratory dinner and night out was now on the cards. He added, "We'll go out in Norwich and have a cheeky Chinese tonight."
Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier said, "Congratulations to our six winners in Hevingham. I had lots of fun surprising Joe with his whopping cash prize.
"I hope they all enjoy celebrating the win and have a great time spending the cash."

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Animal Trust (opens in a new tab), which provides regular grant funding to organisations that work to educate, support and promote animal welfare and conservation. Supported charities include Dogs Trust, Riding for the Disabled Association and PDSA.
With 33% of the ticket price going to charities and good causes, players of People's Postcode Lottery have now raised more than £1 Billion for thousands of projects and groups across the world.
