Well Done Welling

Wednesday is off to a great start for eight winners in Welling after their postcode, DA16 2NP, scooped today's Street Prize. Six of the neighbours netted cheques for £30,000 each, a seventh snagged £60,000 and an eighth, who plays with three tickets, trebled their prize money to a terrific £90,000!

Birthday Surprise

£30,000 winner Ann, a retired primary school caterer, was joined by her daughter, Denise, when she found out how much she'd won. As Ann pulled her cheque out of its golden envelope and saw the five-figure sum, she exclaimed, "Amazing, I've never had that much money before!"

It was also Ann's birthday, and after a birthday song from Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt, she explained how she planned to spend her winnings. She said, "I can go and visit my daughter in Perth in Australia and meet my newborn granddaughter."

Holidays Galore

Ann's neighbour, Lorraine, also won a £30,000 cheque. Lorraine, who used to work in the same primary school as Ann, was elated and became quite emotional. When Judie revealed her cheque, she exclaimed, "Oh my God!"

As the surprise settled in, Lorraine thought that her windfall would go towards future holidays. She said, "My husband would love to go to Thailand so that'd be nice. And I've got friends in Australia as well, so it would be nice to visit them. I've got the money spent already!"

Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt was in Welling to deliver cheques to our winners. She said, "We've certainly given Ann a birthday present to remember! I'm over the moon for her and Lorraine, and all our other Welling winners, and hope they enjoy treating themselves with the cash."
