Wonderful Win In Nottingham

It's a Sunday to remember for two lucky Nottingham neighbours, as they each picked up £30,000 cheques. Our Kneeton Close winners scooped the prizes when their postcode, NG5 3DQ, won today's £30,000 Street Prize.

One of our winners, Kate, had her cheque revealed over video call with our Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson.

Birthday Treat

When she saw the amount, Kate said, "Oh my goodness, that is incredible. I'm going to cry. That has really made my week. My mind has gone completely blank. I've never won anything like this. I am truly shocked. I can't actually take it in.

"I wanted to help out local charities and this is a great way for me to do it."

Kate, an operations manager at a local university, had only been playing for two months when her postcode was picked. She plans to spend the win on marking her 60th birthday, as well as helping out her family. She said, "I've got a big birthday coming up next month so I will certainly be having a party with my friends. It won't be anything huge, but there will be cocktails! We haven't seen much of our family so I'm looking forward to having something. I've found a cocktail bar that can deliver so I will get them sent to the house.

"I can also help my daughter out. She bought a house last year so it will make a huge difference to her and her family."

Kate jokingly added, "My husband asked what he could spend his half on. I told him he wasn't getting half!"

Danyl Johnson said, "A huge congratulations to Kate! I hope she celebrates her birthday in style and splashes out on some fancy drinks. I'm sure our other winner will have some exciting plans for spending the win too."
