Anniversary Holiday

Among our winners was Nicky, who learned of her windfall during a video call with Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson. After seeing how much she had won, Nicky gasped and said, "Oh my gosh, wow. That's amazing, thank you. That is incredible."

When asked how she might spend her winnings, Nicky had a special trip in mind. She said, "A good holiday for a start, when we're allowed to go. My husband and I had our silver wedding anniversary last September but couldn't celebrate it as we couldn't go anywhere. 

"We got married in Florida and we always wanted to take the children back to where we were married. So that was the plan, but it obviously didn't happen so that's where this will go!"

Her first idea on what to buy was a little closer to home. She said, "My children laughed at me because I said I wanted a new back gate, so that's what I'm going to get."

Nicky found out about her win while on a lunch break from work. She quickly popped home from where she works as a finance assistant to take our call. She joked that her co-workers wouldn't believe the news and added, "I'll have to get them some cakes now!"

With £120,000 in total won on the street, Nicky was thrilled to be winning with her neighbours. She said, "It's a small cul-de-sac where we all say hello to each other, a couple of us do a quiz each week on Zoom. It's a quiet, lovely little close."

Dream Caravan

Nicky's neighbour Lyndsey was left giddy after learning she'd scooped £30,000. On seeing her prize cheque she exclaimed, "Oh my God! That's amazing! I don't even have words for it."

As the news sank in, Lyndsey thought of one dream that her windfall could help make a reality. She said, "I'd love to go on a holiday. One of my dreams is to get a caravan so maybe I can look into that. Make my way around the UK for the rest of the year. I'll go anywhere and everywhere!"

Lyndsey also mentioned how much she was looking forward to seeing her family and sharing her good fortune. She said, "It'll be nice to be able to treat my family, see them and think what I can do with this. It's so exciting."

When asked what she might do to celebrate Lyndsey, who works in marketing, laughed and said, "I don't know what you do when you win £30,000! I'll ring my partner and let him know and maybe go out for dinner tonight."

After the calls Matt Johnson sent his well-wishes to our winners. He said, "It was a pleasure to bring this good news to Nicky and Lyndsey and I am so pleased for them. I'm sure they will have a fantastic time with their winnings and I hope they enjoy it. A big congratulations to all of our winners in Lincoln today."
