Big Thrill For Bristol

A school cleaner is planning to use his People's Postcode Lottery win to travel abroad for the first time in his life.

Mike banked a £30,000 cheque alongside three of his neighbours in New Fosseway Road in Bristol, when their postcode - BS14 9LL - was announced as the winner of today's £30,000 Street Prize. A further two neighbours each doubled their windfall to £60,000 as they played with two tickets.

First-Time Flyer

Reflecting on how much he'd won, Mike said, "I'm over the moon!"

The first thing he'd like to do is go on holiday. He added, "I haven't been abroad yet so this will be my first time."

Now Mike can't wait to begin looking into destinations for his first trip overseas.

Keeping It In The Family

It was a family affair for Mike's neighbours, mother and daughter Debra and Emily.

Emily couldn't believe her luck when she pulled a £30,000 cheque from her golden envelope. Debra, who was there on behalf of her husband, also scooped a £30,000 prize, which made it an unforgettable moment.

Emily said she was "just in shock" after seeing her cheque, and with her mum standing beside her, added, "Christmas is coming, so it'll make it really special."

Grandmother-of-five Debra was stunned by her husband's good fortune. She said of their family, "We've had a lot of bad news lately, so it'll give everybody a boost."

On what she'd spend their win on, Debra said she'd treat her grandchildren, joking that with five wish lists, "I don't think it's going to take long!"

People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Judie McCourt said, "I had a brilliant day chatting with our winners and revealing their £30,000 cheques. Everyone was looking forward to Christmas and making it extra special this year.
