Great News For Newcastle Upon Tyne

HUNDREDS of people in Newcastle upon Tyne are set to share October's Postcode Millions prize.

Players in the NE4 9 postcode sector will get a slice of the £3.2 million jackpot, winning at least £1,000.

The winning locals will find out their exact windfall at an event in NUCASTLE community hub on Saturday 2 November.

And the full winning postcode - where players will take home the biggest cash prizes - will also be revealed at the event.

People's Postcode Lottery presenter Judie McCourt, who will be giving out the prizes, said: "It's great to be back in the North East where People's Postcode Lottery launched in 2005. Since then, our players have raised more than £1.4 billion for thousands of charities and good causes.

"And it's quite fitting that we're handing out lots of golden envelopes in Newcastle United Foundation's community hub, a charity which our players help support."

Postcode Lottery players have raised more than £2.7 million for the Newcastle United Foundation. The charity uses the power of football to connect, motivate and inspire people in Newcastle, Northumberland, North Tyneside and Gateshead.

It runs a variety of education, health and wellbeing, and sports programmes. The charity strives to improve physical and mental health, boost learning and career prospects and provide life-changing opportunities for everyone.
