A Weighty Win In Market Weighton

MORE than 900 people in Market Weighton, East Yorkshire, are celebrating winning a £3.2 million lottery prize.

This month's Postcode Millions prize has landed in YO43 3, which covers the town of Market Weighton and the nearby villages of Shiptonthorpe and Goodmanham.

A total of 910 neighbours have won sums ranging from at least £1,595 to £4,785, depending on how many tickets they played with.

Tomorrow, we will announce the full winning postcode, and anyone playing in that postcode will scoop the biggest prizes. Check our Winners' Stories from noon on Saturday 29 March.

People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt was thrilled to hear almost a thousand players will be celebrating this weekend in the area.

Judie said: "A huge congratulations to all 910 winners receiving the good news today. I'm so pleased for them! I'm sure there will be lots of excitement in the local community."

Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.4 billion for thousands of charities and local good causes, including organisations close to the winners.

York Bike Belles CIC provides a fun and friendly programme of free walking, nature activities and cycling throughout the year, offering flexibility and support where needed.

Accessible Arts and Media runs inclusive and creative learning and well-being activities for disabled children and young people, as well as older adults with dementia or ill health.

Toolbox Drama CIC delivers drama, singing, dance and music programmes, as well as workshops and events in Yorkshire for adults with additional needs.
