Winners Revel In Methil

It's a fantastic Friday for four neighbours in Methil as they've collected a stunning £30,000 each! The windfall arrived after their postcode, KY8 3AS, was announced as the winner of today's #30KADAY Street Prize.

Each day in June's draws, right up until 8th July, every player in a winning postcode scoops a £30,000 cheque for each ticket they play with.

McDonald's Treat

James, who works for a leading public transport provider, was among our lucky winners. He was thrilled when Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson knocked on his door and delivered his golden envelope, and joked about his plans to use the money to treat his husband, Andrew, to a fast-food meal for their 12-year anniversary next month. He said, "It'll be a surprise for Andrew. I'll get you a McDonald's, maybe two Big Macs."

When we asked what else the couple might spend their prize money on, James said, "I just want to be able to spoil my cats and some of the family as well." Andrew, a plumber, added, "I think it'll have to be a few cocktails for me, and of course a jacuzzi."

Andrew also loves woodworking and plans to take his business to the next level with some professional equipment.

Holiday Plans

Another Street Prize winner was Thomas, who was joined by his wife Karen for their £30,000 cheque reveal. The couple, who have been married for 32 years, had big party plans. Karen said, "We're going to keep celebrating all day." Thomas added, "And all night!"

When we asked how he'd spend his winnings, Thomas - who runs a Scottish whisky gift shop - said, "We're going to take the whole family on holiday. That's the main thing. Just get a break and enjoy ourselves."

The couple, who met in a bingo hall, plan to take the family to the Costa del Sol.

Karen said, "We're going to have fun enjoying it."

After the event, Matt Johnson said, "A big congratulations to all those who have picked up a prize today in Methil. I hope the win will help lift their spirits and they treat themselves to something special with the cash."
