Street Prize
Bonanza In Bewholme
It's a beautiful day for two lucky winners in Bewholme, all thanks to their postcode. The neighbours found out that YO25 8DT has scooped each of them an incredible £30,000 per ticket in today's Street Prize. One winner netted £30,000, with the second doubling their prize to £60,000 as they were playing with two tickets.
Feeling Fantastic
Lucky Maxine found out she'd won £30,000 during a video call with Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson. She was joined by her husband, Martin, and as the news sank in Maxine admitted the win meant a lot for the couple. She said, "We both always work really hard, really long hours and never anything happens like this to us. It's an absolutely fantastic feeling to win something for once."
The parents-of-two, who have lived in the village for 18 years, already had plans for their winnings. Maxine said, "There are quite a lot of things we've been wanting to do in the house, it will help us to help our sons a little bit as well which is fantastic.
"We've been doing lots of home improvements for the garden and things like that, so we'll probably continue with that. We've just built an outside pizza oven and barbecue area. Martin started laying the slate down and it was quite a big job for him on his own, so we'll now pay for somebody to come and do that, so it'll make a big difference."
The win comes just after the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary, and when asked if she'd treat her husband, Maxine joked, "He gets spoiled every day, so he doesn't need anything else!"
Matt Johnson sent his well-wishes to our winners. He added, "A big congratulations to our winners in Bewholme today! What a great way to end the week. I'm sure they'll enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special."
Every day throughout our July draws one postcode will be announced as a £30,000 Street Prize winner. Every player in that lucky postcode will win £30,000 for every ticket they play.
