Treasure For Trench

Nine neighbours from a street in Trench in Telford have been left stunned after learning they have each won £30,000 thanks to their postcode. What a way to start the week! The cash prizes came after TF2 6RS was announced as a winner today with our #30KADAY Street Prizes this month.

Family Comes First

Among the winners was Lynne, who found out how much she'd won during a video call with People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Matt Johnson. On seeing her £30,000 prize cheque, Lynne gasped and said, "Oh my God! I don't know what to say. All I can say is thank you so, so much. It's come at just the right time in my life."

Lynne was overjoyed with her win. She couldn't wait to share her good fortune with her family. She said, "I've got six grandchildren, so I imagine they'll help me spend it. Family always comes first."

When asked if she had any ideas on how she would treat her grandchildren, Lynne said, "I'm sure all six of them will come up with a good idea. It may even be Aston Villa season tickets because they're all Aston Villa supporters."

Lynne also said she might treat herself to a holiday in the future. She said, "I think I might go on holiday. I love Scotland so we'll go there."  She also joked, "I could do with a new lawnmower!"

Street Party Planning

Lynne added that she was really pleased that so many of her neighbours had also won a prize. She said, "I've lived in the same row for 52 years, we all look after each other. We are very close. I'm sure there will be a street party when we can all get together!"

Matt Johnson sent his congratulations to today's winners. He said, "It was my absolute pleasure to bring this great news to Lynne today and I hope she and her family enjoy the winnings. A huge congratulations to Lynne and all our other winners in Trench today!"

This prize was part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Planet Trust. Through regular grant funding, the trust supports charities and good causes working to protect and promote our environment and wildlife. Funded charities include African Parks, Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust and WWF-UK.

With 33% of the ticket price going to deserving projects, players of People's Postcode Lottery have now raised more than £750 Million for over 9,000 charities and good causes.

Lynne was thrilled to hear about the wide range of good causes supported by player funding. She said, "That's why I do it, for the charities. You never think, 'what if I win?' - it's always 'what the money is going towards'."
