Street Prize
Big Bucks For Buxton
It's a brilliant day in Buxton for four players who have picked up cheques for an incredible £30,000 each, all thanks to their postcode.
The Pictor Road residents scooped the incredible prizes when their postcode, SK17 7TG, was drawn as Saturday's Street Prize winner.
Susan was lost for words when she pulled her cheque out of the golden envelope. She said, "I never expected that I'd ever win this much money – it's just a wonderful surprise and it's so nice to be able to win with my neighbours too!"
After toasting her win with a bottle of bubbly, Susan plans to head to the seaside for a family holiday. "My daughter and granddaughter aren't keen on flying, so I'll be treating them and my husband Bob to a trip down to Cornwall and when we get back I'll have a sit down with Bob and we can discuss how we'll use the rest of the win. It's going to be a great summer, that's for sure!"
Winner Neil was with his wife Darlene when he found out how much he'd won. He said, "I'm totally chuffed! This has come at the perfect time as we're in the middle of renovating our house so this will come in very handy. We're heading to Turkey soon for a holiday now we don't need to worry about spending money! I'd also love a new car too – I might even treat myself to a convertible!"
Our third winner was IT Manager David. He was joined by wife Susan. David said, "This is a bolt from the blue – I'm very surprised but very happy right now. I just wish I'd bought more than one ticket! Susan and I have been meaning to do some home improvements so we'll be able to do them a lot sooner than expected now."
Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt presented the winners with their prizes. She said, "I'm totally thrilled for our big winners in Buxton and have had a great time meeting them all and hearing how they'll be spending their winnings. Sign up to play and I could be knocking on your door!"
With 32% of the ticket price going to charity, players of People's Postcode Lottery have now raised £320 Million for over 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally. This prize was part of a draw promoted by charity WaterAid.
One charity close to our Buxton winners that players have helped to support is Prison Radio Association. The group was awarded £20,000 last year to deliver a project to support the rehabilitation of female prisoners and ex-offenders by providing them with broadcast training.

Buxton wasn't the only area in luck this weekend, as one player picked up £30,000 in Sunday's Street Prize.
