Big News In Newham

Welcome to the second week of our #30KADAY Street Prize festivities! Each day in December's draws, right up until 10th January 2020, every player in a winning postcode scoops a £30,000 cheque for each ticket they play with. Today, postcode E15 3QP in Newham got lucky. Three of our winners received £30,000 each and a fourth, because they play with two tickets, picked up £60,000. 

Perfect Timing

One of our £30,000 winners, Theo, explained that the timing of his win was perfect. He said, "Our win couldn't have come at a better time. My wife is due to give birth at any moment - she's recently been induced! We've had to buy a new car because the baby is on the way, a new cot and buggy. We've spent so much money, so the timing really couldn't be better.

"In the last six to eight months I've tried to be a positive person. I believe good things come to those that do good things. From giving up a seat on the train to helping an older person with their bags, it's all about small acts of kindness. And now you guys have come knocking at my door!

"I'm still so shocked that I've won and so glad I started playing. It's also great to know that some of the money us players pay each month goes towards local causes and charities. It really makes this win extra special to me."

Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier was in Newham handing out cheques to our lucky winners, including Theo. He said, "What an amazing day in Newham - it was particularly special hearing about Theo. Christmas can be an expensive time of year with presents to buy and festive nights out. But when we heard Theo and his wife were due to meet their new arrival any day now, it made this prize even more special. I hope Theo and his family enjoy Christmas with their new baby and that the money allows them to spoil the whole family with a few well-deserved treats!"
