Super Win In Surbiton
A trio of lucky players from Surbiton are over the moon, all thanks to their postcode. Two of our winners each picked up a £30,000 prize after their postcode, KT5 8QP, was drawn in today's Street Prize. A third winner, Mark, scooped £60,000 as he plays with two tickets.
Every day throughout our August draws we'll announce one postcode as a £30,000 Street Prize winner. Each player in that lucky postcode will win £30,000 for every ticket they hold.
Unbelievable
Mark first learned of his big win during a video call with Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt. When Judie unveiled his first £30,000 cheque, he clapped and exclaimed, "Wow, really? No way! Oh my gosh, that is awesome. That's done everything. I can't believe that."
However, the local handyman was left lost for words when Judie revealed a second cheque. After a few moments to collect his thoughts, he said, "No way. Oh my days, that is unbelievable! I can really do some stuff with that, it will really help. I've always said it would never happen, but it has!"
Mark plans to use his windfall to purchase a long-awaited home. He added, "I've been wanting to buy one for ages but just haven't been able to get the deposit."
He also wanted to treat his family as well. He said, "It's life-changing for me, my sister, my mum - everyone. I can't wait to tell them. My sister has a little baby son. I can give them a couple of quid, I think everyone will benefit."
When asked how he would celebrate the news, Mark added, "I'm going to open up a bottle of champagne that I've got. I've been saving it for ages, but I think I'll open it!"
Judie McCourt sent her congratulations to all our winners. She said, "It was so nice to bring this surprise to Mark and I really couldn't be happier for him. I hope he enjoys spending the winnings and treating his family. A massive congratulations to Mark and our other Surbiton winners today."
