Lucky In Lancing

Five fabulous players from Lancing got into the festive spirit early when our Street Prize team knocked on their doors and presented them with golden envelopes. Their postcode BN15 9HE was today announced as a winner of our Street Prize. Four of the residents won £30,000 cheques each while a fifth player scooped £60,000 as they play with two tickets. 

Dreams Do Come True

One of our winners, Carol, said the prize is going to change her life. She said, "I just can't believe it. Dreams really do come true. I always cry at the adverts because it's lovely to see other people and their cheques, but you never expect it to be yourself winning. 

"I've had a tough few years but I'm going to celebrate by buying myself a new car. It's on the way out at the moment, and it's the only way I can get to my dance classes. Thanks to this money it's a relief knowing that I can buy a new one and not have to worry! I think it's lovely that the money also goes to help lots of different charities as there's a lot of people needing support out there. I'm just so pleased. This has truly made my Christmas."

Over The Moon

One of Carol's neighbours, Wendy, also won a £30,000 prize. She said, "I am over the moon. It's especially exciting at this time of year as I have three children with partners and four grandchildren so I'm excited to be able to spoil them this year. 

"I'd like to go on holiday next year too, but I've still not decided where to go. I've played the People's Postcode Lottery for three years so to win now is brilliant. Knowing some of the money is going straight to charities and local organisations is also fantastic." 

Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson was in Lancing to meet our winners. He said, "What a fantastic day it was getting to meet the winners in Lancing. It was really cold, but Wendy welcomed us in for a cuppa to keep us warm and Carol even taught me some dance moves she's learned at her local class. Handing out cheques to winners is one of the best parts of this job and it's made even better at this time of year when everyone's feeling festive while getting ready for Christmas. I hope all the winners enjoy spending their prizes and I wish everyone a very merry Christmas!"
