Home Run For Newnham

A magnificent seven neighbours from Newnham have each landed a £30,000 cheque with People's Postcode Lottery. Their postcode, ME9 0LQ, was revealed today, bringing a combined total win of £210,000 to our lucky winners.

Amazing News

Town Clerk Louise was one of our lucky winners. She found out how much she'd won on a video call with our Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson. Louise said, "It's just amazing news. I've had a really tough week at work, and this is a huge lift. I can't quite believe it.

"I've been living in this street for 13 years, so I know a lot of people and I'm really pleased that so many of us have all won together. There's a real sense of community here, particularly at the moment. It's brilliant news for the village.

"I have four daughters, so I'll be treating them with some of the money and then I'll need to have a think about what else to spend it on."

A Positive Win

Business Process Manager Guy was another of our lucky winners. He was joined by his wife Gemma when Matt revealed his prize. Guy said, "When I received the call to say I'd won something I really didn't think it would be so much, so I've not thought about what I'd spend it on at all - maybe a new car. We're a tight-knit community so it's so nice to hear others in the area have won too.

"I signed up to play because I love the concept that you're raising money for charity, but you might win something too - it's a win-win."

Gemma, an education manager at the NHS, has been shielding so was particularly delighted to receive some good news. She said, "We've had five years of bad luck so this is so positive. It'll make our lives easier, even with simple things like buying a more reliable car, just as Guy said. It'll make a big difference."

As our other winners were unavailable, their prize money will be paid into their bank accounts.

Matt Johnson said, "Huge congratulations to Louise, Guy, Gemma and all of the other winners in Newnham. It's a massive pleasure to be able to deliver such good news - I hope they all treat themselves with their winnings."
