Cash For Combe Martin

Three Combe Martin neighbours are celebrating after their postcode, EX34 0EY, won this week's Saturday Street Prize.

Two of the Western Gardens residents won £30,000 each, while the third doubled her prize to an incredible £60,000 thanks to playing with two tickets.

Julie said she was so excited she couldn't sleep in the days leading up to our team paying a visit.

She said, "I got the call saying they were coming while I was on my lunch break at work and have had the tune going around and around my head since. I was like a kid in a sweet shop!

"I'm going to be sensible with the money and use it to move house. More than anything it's a great cushion to have this so I don't need to worry."

On playing People's Postcode Lottery, Julie said, "I saw some people win the £30,000 Street Prize nearby in Westward Ho! last year so I thought I may as well give it a shot - it's all for a good cause."

Our two other winners were unavailable to collect their cheques in person, but their winnings will go directly into their bank accounts.

Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson said, "I am thrilled for Julie and the two other winners. I think her nervous few days anticipating what she might get were worth it! I hope they all enjoy spending their winnings."

Great News For Good Causes

32% of the ticket price goes directly to charities, and players of People's Postcode Lottery have helped raise more than £416 Million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

This draw was promoted on behalf of  Royal Voluntary Service, which has received over £8 Million thanks to players. The funding is helping Royal Voluntary Service to run local, volunteer-led activities that enable older people to get the most out of life, including clubs and centres, community companions schemes and home libraries.

Pete's Dragons is just one of many good causes close to our winners that have benefited from the support of players. Last year, the organisation was awarded £20,000 to provide an ongoing support service to people whose lives have been touched by suicide.
