A married couple from Rugby are celebrating today after their postcode, CV21 1XE, was drawn as a winner of our £50,000 Street Prize. Adrian and Deborah were delighted to discover they'd won, especially since they each play with a ticket, so they scoop a whopping £100,000 between them!

The lucky couple, who have been together for 30 years, had their cheques revealed by Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson over video call.

Adrian, who works at a local school, said, "Oh my god! That's fantastic! I think I love you Matt!" Deborah added, "I'm going to cry. I really can't believe it, it's amazing."

With Adrian turning 50 this year, the couple already have a good idea as to how they will spend their winnings. Deborah said, "We went to the Maldives a couple of years ago for our 25th wedding anniversary and we'd love to go again." Adrian added, "We planned it for a really long time. It was meant to be a once in a lifetime trip, but we've been wanting to go back. Now it's actually on the cards!

"We'll also need to go to Vegas for my 50th! We've been before with friends and enjoyed it so much. We looked at it earlier in the year but couldn't afford it. Hopefully we can go at some point in the future."

Champagne For Tea!

The couple are currently living with Deborah's mum and will be celebrating tonight. Deborah said, "The first thing we will do is go out and buy a bottle of champagne!" Adrian added, "We'll need to have a blowout, it will be champagne for tea!"

After having a few hours to get over the shock, Adrian said, "The shaking has settled down. It was an amazing feeling when I saw the cheque, it's all going in now. The first thing I did was phone my mum who was in tears. You've made our lives!"

Matt Johnson added, "I'm over the moon for Adrian and Deborah. It sounds like Adrian will be having a fabulous 50th birthday thanks to the win! Even though I was unable to visit them in person, I feel very lucky to have shared this moment with them and see how happy they both were."
