V&A Dundee
V&A Dundee is the first ever dedicated design museum in Scotland: an international centre for design, a place of inspiration, discovery and learning. Their mission is to enrich lives through design.
Design covers everything from improving the physical world through architecture and engineering to making the world more beautiful and enjoyable through fashion and game design - creating new jobs and new companies.
At V&A Dundee, visitors will experience the remarkable story of design past, present and future in a Scottish and global context. They will also discover the processes which underpin great design and the beautiful and inventive objects which tell that story.
This exceptional building is the first in the UK designed by Kengo Kuma, the internationally renowned architect responsible for the National Stadium for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Support from players of People's Postcode Lottery has contributed significantly to the success of V&A Dundee. It has helped fund learning programmes while the museum was under construction, which enabled V&A to engage with over 100,000 people before opening. Player support has also funded V&A Dundee's opening exhibition - Ocean Liners, Speed and Style and additional programmes such as its Schools Design Challenges, Assemble and Night Fever: Designing Club Culture.
