Right To Play's mission is to protect, educate, and empower children to rise above adversity using the power of play

Right To Play is a global organisation that transforms the lives of millions of children every year in some of the most difficult places on earth.

Founded in 2000, the charity uses play to help some of the world's most vulnerable children affected by war, disease, climate change, violence, poverty, inequality, prejudice and exploitation.

Working in 14 countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Right To Play's mission is to protect, educate and empower children to rise above adversity using the power of play.

Play is a transformative force in a child's life and, as global experts in a unique approach to learning, Right To Play is providing children with the critical life skills and confidence to overcome challenges, fulfil their potential and create a better future for themselves and their communities.

Support from players of People's Postcode Lottery is helping Right To Play to make a life-changing difference to the lives of children around the world, ensuring they have access to quality education and receive vital psychosocial support. Funds raised by our players are enabling Right To Play to support children from early childhood onwards, helping them to develop social and emotional skills and improve their learning and holistic well-being.

Globally, more than 244 million children are out of school, and girls in particular often face numerous barriers (such as early marriage and child labour) that prevent them from attending school and claiming their rights. Right To Play's work promotes gender equality and improves girls' well-being, ensuring that girls have a voice and can thrive.

Right To Play also supports children living through emergencies, crisis and conflict, providing the support and safe spaces they need to cope with trauma, recover, and get back to learning.

The charity's work encompasses support for refugee and displaced children worldwide, helping them to access the healing power of play, reclaim their childhood and express their hopes for a brighter future.
