Money Mechanics
The dream of Money Mechanics is to equip deaf, blind and partially sighted young people aged between 16 and 25 with the money management, employability, and life skills that they need to be financially confident. It will help to enable them to take control of their lives, to sustain work, to move into independent living, and to live life without limits.
The two-year project will deliver 300 days of education to over 1,000 young deaf and blind people in London and the South East.
The goal of the project, a collaboration between the Royal Association for Deaf People and MyBnk, is to encourage beneficiaries to build positive money habits and feel empowered to make their own informed decisions, helping to reduce dependency on their parents and improving their life opportunities.
